A trainee beautician will be trekking Ben Nevis to raise awareness of a campaign which is tackling injustices made in family court.

Charlotte Budd, 33, from Harlow will be hiking up the mountain in Scotland this Saturday (October 3) to raise money for the charity Stand Up To Domestic Abuse (SUTDA).

Ms Budd said the fundraiser will also be used to raise awareness of the campaign called #JusticeForFCchildren.

The campaign aims to find justice for children who have been wrongfully removed or have been left in unsafe contact of a perpetrator as a result of settling custody between parents in family court.

Ms Budd also highlighted the #getmhome campaign which was launched by Victoria Hudson after a family member was removed from her care by Cumbria Children’s Services.

Ms Budd said: "It’s amazing the campaign is finally being heard but there are still children who are in unsafe contact orders, who have to see abusers and women who are put into situations where they have to relive their trauma."
