Watford are yet to receive a concrete offer from Crystal Palace for Ismaila Sarr, but interest remains from the Premier League side.

The Watford Observer understands the Eagles made contact with Sarr's representatives as early as the beginning of August with Palace also understood to have tried to sign the player the summer before when he joined the Hornets.

With the domestic transfer deadline coming tomorrow evening at 5pm, there is still time for a move to take place, but Watford will stand firm on their valuation.

Watford Observer:

Manchester United tested their resolve before the international transfer deadline closed, but their advances were rejected.

United are known to still be interested, but wanted to have Sarr registered for the Champions League. It is not expected that they will return with another offer for a player who will cost at least £45million who they will only be able to use in domestic competition this season.

The Hornets remain hopeful that Sarr will stay, but his future is still not entirely assured, with a big deadline day offer a possibility.

Whether or not Crystal Palace, who have already picked up a winger in Eberechi Eze during the transfer window, will be willing to meet the Hornets' valuation remains to be seen, but time for them to make a decision is quickly running out.
