Have you ever wondered if you live near a haunted home?

Maybe that old run-down building at the end of your street gives you the chills.

Or maybe you even believe you have witnessed a paranormal event somewhere.

A new online map put together by avid ghost hunter Paul Lee lists the haunted spots across the UK.

Here are some of the main spots in Epping Forest:

Alderton Hall, Loughton

A spectral maid has been seen in the upper floors of the hall; she is said to have been made pregnant by the Master of the Hall and he threw her out. Before killing herself she drowned their baby. A male ghost with blonde hair and a red cloak has been seen on the driveway; additionally, a piano has been heard playing in the hall.

Loughton Hall, Loughton

Epping Forest Guardian:

The ghost of "Mary" has been seen on the first-floor landing looking down the stairs; she has also been blamed for locking doors. It is said that she is a lady who froze to death in the grounds. Three other ghosts have been seen here; a soldier in a nearby patch of woodland, a man in black and another in twee

Hill Hall, Theydon Mount

On May 31, a mustard coloured coach drive by Duke de Morrow is said to make its way up the driveway.

Ambresbury Banks, Epping Forest

Part of a network of Iron Age defensive forts, a female ghost, said by some to be none other than Boudicca, has been seen wandering among the trees here.

Arabin House, High Beech

This building used to be called Beech House. The daughter of the Lord of the house, Lady Elizabeth fell in love with Sir Francis but her father disapproved and had him turned over to his enemies. Sir Francis has been seen looking out from the upper floors, while Elizabeth and her father have been seen in other parts of the house.

Waltham Abbey Church

Epping Forest Guardian:

The church and its grounds are haunted by a girl, who (it is said) killed herself rather than surrender to the attentions of the vicar. The sounds of chanting and a light has been seen inside the empty church, while monks are seen in nearby Monk Wood.
