Fire crews battled for almost six hours to bring a massive fire at an industrial site in Matching Green under control.
Essex Fire and Rescue crews were called to the blaze in Anchor Lane at 6.42pm yesterday evening (Thursday, October 29).
On arrival, crews reported a tin air hangar being used for industrial purposes, measuring 30 metres by 10 metres, was well alight.
Firefighters isolated the electrics and worked to extinguish the fire.
At 11pm, crews, despite making steady progress to extinguish the blaze, had to call for a relief crew to take over. Three crews from Dunmow, Ingatestone and Brentwood were sent to the scene.
Crews extinguished the fire at 12:38am and firefighters remained at the scene over night to monitor hotspots.
