Nominations for Epping Forest District Council's Civic Awards will be a little different this year as the council focusses on heroes in the community during the Covid-19 pandemic.
If you know of a young person aged between 11 and 18, and who has made a real difference in their community or school during the Covid-19 pandemic, you can nominate them.
The council says it would like to recognise the achievements of young people during the Covid-19 pandemic.
This can be in terms of outstanding courage, service to the community or showing extraordinary commitment, energy and effort during Covid-19.
Councillor Holly Whitbread, cabinet member for communities, said: "We have had some outstanding winners in this category over the years and I know 2021 will be no exception.
"Our young people have been working hard since lockdown in so many ways, supporting their schools, families and communities at this difficult time. So please nominate a young person you know that you feel deserves such an award."
