The coronavirus pandemic did not stop towns and villages commemorating their fallen as Remembrance services were held around Epping Forest.
Epping Forest MP Dame Eleanor Laing laid wreaths at war memorials in Theydon Bois, Loughton, Waltham Abbey and Epping.

At Loughton war memorial on Kings Green, Dame Eleanor met Pam Utting, who had the idea of the poppy arches which feature some 1,000 handmade poppies.

Three arches were designed by members of Woodlands Branch Essex Handicrafts Association and around 1,000 poppies were knitted and crocheted to cover the arches. In celebration of Remembrance Sunday with a difference this year due to Covid -19.

There was also a cascade of poppies at Loughton library organised by Loughton town council and made by local residents.
In a short service and wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial on the Town Green, Epping, the names of Epping men who gave their lives for their country were read out by town Mayor Cllr Grahame Scruton.
