A jogger was treated in hospital after he was bit by a dog.

A 35-year-old man was jogging in Gunpowder Park at at around 10.30am on November 21 when he was bitten by a dog that was not on a lead.

He then had to be treated in hospital after suffering from two bite wounds.

Officers said the dog was thought to be a young German Shepherd. The dog was with a woman who was described as white, aged 35 to 45, with light blond hair that was tied back.

She was around 5ft 7ins to 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build and wore dark clothing.

Police are looking to speak to any witnesses, particularly two women who spoke to the victim at the time.
