Harlow has seen the third biggest week-on-week jump in coronavirus cases in the country.

Between November 19 – 26 there were 195 reported infections, a rate of 224 per 100,000 people, up from 150 new cases the week before.

Coronavirus cases in Epping Forest are falling slightly as the impact of the second national lockdown begins to be reflected in the figures.

Government data shows there have been 1028 new lab-confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the district in November.

However, in the past week the rate of infection has slowed.

In the seven days to November 26 – the latest available accurate data – there were 229 new cases reported, 40 less than the previous week.

The rate of infection in the district now stands at 173.9 infection per 100,000 people, having spent the last few weeks above 200.
