Stephen Ayers wrote about the origins of Lime Tree Walk in Walthamstow
I would like to thank Mr Stephen Ayers for bringing to our attention the origins of the Town Square (November 26).
Unfortunately, there is no longer a democratic process within Waltham Forest Council for the use of Common Land. I hope the cladding is safe on the future tower blocks which will dominate the square and the fire which closed part of the shopping mall.

The trees are saved for now. Trust our beloved council to find tree branches useful for hanging their Christmas decorations at this time of year.
