Residents are fed up with the state of a footpath behind Epping tube station as mounds of rubbish begin to pile up.
One resident, who did not want to be named, says they have complained to the council on numerous occasions about the build up of litter along the footpath between Centre Drive and Epping Underground Station.
The long winding path, which is flanked by fences and foliage for most of its length, has been victim to sustained littering and over the last few months there has been a build up of debris and rubbish creating an eye sore and health hazard.
Pictures of the path show waste building up next to it, with items such as food packaging, empty beer cans and boxes left dumped by inconsiderate litterers.
Epping Forest District Council has been contacted for comment on the matter, but has yet to reply and confirm whether officials are aware of the issue.
