A man was attacked and bitten on the ear in an altercation in Harlow last month.

Essex Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the assault in Church Langley Way sometime between 4.30pm and 5pm on Monday, January 25.

The victim, a 52-year-old man, involved in an altercation with another man on a pedestrian crossing near Tesco.

This continued in an alleyway between Tesco and neighbouring houses, and the victim was bitten.

He will need ongoing treatment for his injury.

The other man was described as white, aged in his 20s, and had a large tattoo on his neck. He was about 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall and wore dark clothing.

Essex Police is looking to trace anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened, or was driving past and has dash cam footage.
