Essex Police say they have found a body in a pond in Epping Forest.

At the moment, the body has not been identified.

However Essex Police and the Metropolitan Police have been sweeping the area in search for Richard Okorogheye, a missing 19-year-old student, who was last seen heading in the direction of Epping Forest two weeks ago.

His family are being supported by specially trained officers and being kept updated with developments.

Officers remain at the scene and enquiries continue.

The missing student left his family home in the Ladbroke Grove area of west London on the evening of March 22.

Mr Okorogheye, who has sickle cell disease was last seen on CCTV in Loughton, Essex, in the early hours of Tuesday March 23, walking towards Epping Forest.

His mother Evidence Joel previously told Sky News that she "most definitely" thought her son was on the way to meet someone he met online.

On the third day of the search in Epping Forest for Mr Okorogheye (April 3), the Met Police said "nothing of relevance" to the investigation was found at the time.
