Two men were arrested on suspicion of kidnap and false imprisonment in Chigwell yesterday.
Metropolitan Police officers were called to Brook Way shortly before 4pm (Sunday, April 11) after a “vehicle of interest” was spotted in the area, Scotland Yard has said.
A heavy police presence, including armed officers and a police helicopter were reported to have descended upon the area, according to eyewitness, and parish councillor, Pranav Bhanot.

The two suspects, both men, were arrested nearby on suspicion of kidnap and false imprisonment.
They have been taken into custody at an east London police station where they currently remain.
