Three men arrested following an early morning crash in Epping yesterday have been released.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after Jaguar XE crashed in Epping High Road at about 4am on Saturday, May 1.

Three men were taken to hospital following the crash; all three were arrested and have since been released under investigation.

A 21-year-old man and an 18-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of attempted theft of a motor vehicle, theft of a motor vehicle, using a motor vehicle in public place without third party insurance, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, failing to stop when required and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and theft of a motor vehicle.

The road was closed in both directions while we carried out our investigations.

Essex Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any footage of it to get in touch.
