A man has died following a crash between a lorry and car earlier today.
Essex Police officers are currently on scene of a serious collision in Waltham Abbey.
A car and lorry were reportedly involved in a collision in Dowding Way shortly before midday.
The driver of the car, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police enquiries are ongoing but no arrests have been made.
The road is currently closed and Essex Police anticipates it will stay shut for much of the afternoon.
Major traffic congestion for a number of hours in the local area should be expected.
Please avoid the area and plan your journey.
