The picture at the top of this page is of Epping High Road looking south with Station Road to the left c1900.
It could be a Sunday afternoon scene with the townsfolk looking towards the camera and enjoying the spring day.
The houses in the background largely survive to today with some having the addition of shopfronts and modern windows.
The mini roundabout (centre left) still exists today, albeit a modern version.
