More roads in Epping Forest are set to be temporarily closed for roadworks during next month.

A notice from Essex County Council in this week’s edition of the Guardian states that it is intending to make orders to close roads in Lambourne and Theydon Bois, as well as confirming that orders have been made for other closures in the district – including one due to last 43 days.

A section of Poplar Row, Theydon Bois, is set to be closed for three days from July 12.

This is set to affect the length of the road from its junction with Abridge Road to its junction with Thrifts Road, a distance of approximately 35m.

The diversion will be via The Green, Woburn Avenue, Hornbean Road, Graylands, Loughton Lane, Theydon Green, Coppice Row and vice versa.

An order is also due to be made to close part of New Road, Lambourne, for three days from July 14.

The closure is due to be from a point approximately 225m north-east of its junction with Hoe Lane for a distance of approximately 65m in a south-easterly direction.

The alternative route will be via Manor Road, Hoe Lane and vice versa.

As the Guardian reported last week, the 43-day closure will be in Albion Hill, Loughton.

This order has now been made and the closure is due to start on July 1, from its junction with High Road to its junction with Nursery Road, a distance of approximately 475m.

Motorists are advised to use Nursery Road, Upper Park, High Road, Warren Hill and vice versa instead.

Prior to those works starting, an order has also been made for the closure of a lengthy section of Church Road, Waltham Abbey, from Tuesday.

This will apply from both its junctions with Mott Street for a distance of approximately 1150m in a southerly then south-westerly direction.

The closure is due to last for 11 days and the alternative route will be via Mott Street, Lippitts Hill, Church Road and vice versa.

Mount Road, Theydon Mount, is due to be closed on Wednesday from a point approximately 490m south-east of its junction with Mount End Road for a distance of approximately 70m in a south-easterly direction.

The diversion will be via Mount Road, Hobbs Cross Road, Epping Lane, Colemans Farm Lane and vice versa.

Also on Wednesday, another-one day closure is set to shut Parsloe Road, Epping Upland, from a point approximately 45m north-east of its junction with Epping Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a north-easterly direction.

Motorists should divert via Parsloe Road, Epping Road, Tylers Road, Epping Road Roundabout, Water Lane, Brookside, Southern Way, Katherine’s Way, Paringdon Road, Markwell Wood and vice versa.

Part of Avey Lane, Waltham Abbey, is also set to be shut to vehicles for two days from July 7.

This will be in place from the junction with Sewardstone Lane for a distance of approximately 300m in a south-easterly direction.

The diversion will be via Sewardstone Road, Sewardstone Road roundabout, Dowding Way, Volunteer Roundabout, Honey Lane, Forest Side, Pynest Green Lane, Avey Lane and vice versa.
