A street in Harlow could be closed for up to two months due to roadworks.

A notice from Essex County council in this week’s edition of the Guardian details plans to close Coldharbour Road, from Elizabeth Way to Fourth Avenue, to enable the installation of drainage and ducting works.

The closure is due to start on October 4 to December 3 “or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting”.

During the closure, the alternative route will be via Fourth Avenue, Elizabeth Way and vice versa.

Meanwhile, new traffic restrictions are due to take effect in two other areas of Harlow from October 11.

No waiting at any time measures will be introduced on the south side of Milwards from its junction with Paringdon Road to a point about 20m east of that junction, and on the north side from its junction with Paringdon Road to a point on the east side of its northern arm leading to Nos. 1 to 5, opposite Nos. 4 to 5.

From the same date, no waiting at any time restrictions will also take effect in School Lane, Marshgate and Arbour Mews.

Elsewhere in Epping Forest, a section of Epping Road, Epping Upland, is due to be shut to vehicles for two days from Saturday for gas connection works.

The road will be closed from a point approximately 135m north-west of its junction with Elm Close for a distance of approximately 60m in a north-westerly direction.

The alternative route will be via Epping Road Roundabout, Epping Road, Water Lane, Southern Way, A414 between southern town boundary and Harlow Mill Roundabout, London Road, Hastingwood Roundabout, High Road, Thornwood Road, Palmers Hill, Lindsey Street, Church Hill and vice versa.

A section of Berwick Lane, Stanford Rivers, is due to be closed for five days from October 11 for power connection works.

The road will be shut from a point approximately 200m north of its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 305m in a north-westerly direction.

The alternative route will be via (access only through Berwick Lane) School Road, Church Road, London Road and vice versa.

From the same date, part of Hobbs Cross Road, Matching, is set to be closed for three days for water connection works.

The closure is due to be in place from a point approximately 135m north-west of its junction with New Way Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a north-westerly direction.

The diversion will be via Hobbs Cross Road, Foster Street, Green Lane and vice versa.

All temporary closure orders last for up to 18 months and the dates of works can vary.
