A Harlow man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after pedestrian died in a crash in Buckhurst Hill.

He is suspected to have been driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.

A woman in her 20s died following the crash in in Buckhurst Way yesterday evening.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 7.55pm to reports a pedestrian had been in a collision with a Range Rover and a Ford Transit van.

The woman was treated by paramedics at the scene but died a short time later.

Essex Police have no details to suggest the drivers did not stop at the scene.

The driver of the van, a 28 year-old man from Harlow has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and reamins in custody.

Essex Police have urged anyone who saw what happened or has CCTV, dash cam or doorbell footage to contact them.
