Epping residents will benefit from a ‘one stop shop’ online app which notifies them of offers from local stores.

Epping Forest District Council has launched a new partnership with the app LoyalFree, in a bid to get more people back shopping safely in the town.

The LoyalFree scheme has worked successfully in other areas helping businesses to promote themselves and their offers to customers.

It’s hoped that more people will be encouraged to check out what the high street has to offer, and save money whilst doing so.

Aswell as promoting local offers it notifies residents about community events taking place and consists of fun trails which can help residents explore parts of Epping they may not have encountered before.

The app is currently being supported by the council so businesses can access its benefits for free.

LoyalFree can be useful for business currently providing offline loyalty schemes that would like to explore putting offers online.

Cllr John Philip, Portfolio Holder for Finance and Economic Development at Epping Forest District Council, said: “LoyalFree’s digital trails enable users to explore the town’s history, hidden gems and best independent stores.

“We are blessed with a variety of vibrant market towns that support employment and business and quality of life in our district.

“To be successful everyone needs to do their part and the council is happy to play a full role in promotion, working closely with LoyalFree and local businesses to build on local success.

Sophie Hainsworth, co-founder of LoyalFree, said: “We are overjoyed to be launching the app in Epping and be able to offer businesses there a way to expand their digital presence and customer base.

“The area has a lovely variety of businesses and we hope locals and visitors enjoy using the app.”

You can download the app by searching ‘LoyalFree’ on the iOS and Google play store.
