More volunteers are being sought by an Epping Forest charity that is again playing its part in the Covid vaccination programme.

Voluntary Action Epping Forest (VAEF) is assisting with vaccination and booster sessions at St Margaret’s Hospital, Epping and Buckhurst Way Clinic in Buckhurst Hill. These are operated by the NHS Primary Care Network in partnership with West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group.

VAEF staff and volunteer stewards are assisting with the direct the flow of traffic into car parks, assist with parking spaces, provide wheelchairs to people with mobility problems, manage the one-way flow of patients in and out of the vaccination centres and generally help with the smooth running of the process.

The charity is always looking for volunteers to assist at the vaccination sites. If you are in the Epping Forest area, have time to volunteer and are able to stand for at least four hours at a time, the organisation would be delighted to welcome you to the VAEF team at the vaccination centres.

To sign up as a Covid booster volunteer, visit its website vaef.org.uk where a sign up form for these roles can be found on the home page.
