A HARLOW woman is organising a mini outdoor Christmas market to raise money for epilepsy research following the death of her sister.

Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological conditions and is characterised by seizures.

Nicki Walker lost her sister Tania Knight just 18 months after her wedding day in 2003, following her battle with the condition.

Ms Walker has since campaigned for more research into the condition and has raised funds for Epilepsy Research UK.

The keen fundraiser will host a mini outdoor Christmas craft market in Longbanks, Harlow on Saturday, December 11.

The event will take place from 12pm-6pm and include market stalls and a winter barbecue supplied by catering.

Nicki said: “Please help us raise much-needed funds for epilepsy research and get in the Christmas spirit with our craft market.”

Mehreen Syed, Head of Development and Events for Epilepsy Research UK, said, “Nicki has been a much-valued supporter of Epilepsy Research UK since 2003 and during this time has raised thousands of pounds for vital research into epilepsy.”
