It's ten years ago this week since it was confirmed that the front desks of two police stations in Epping Forest would close.
Two of the district's police stations will close to the public from Monday, it has been announced.
The front desks at Ongar and Waltham Abbey stations will open for the last time on Saturday, according to a statement circulated by police.
The statement also confirmed that hours at Loughton police station, which is currently open round the clock, will be cut to between midday and 6pm Mondays to Saturdays.
Epping police station, which is currently open to the public from 8am to 10pm, will have its opening times reduced to the same hours as Loughton.
The closures are part of plans put in place by Essex Police to cut a total of £41 million from their budget.
Police will still be based at the stations, despite the front counter closures.
