CHARITIES across Essex are set to benefit from a festive of £120,00 in a company’s annual 12 Days of Giving campaign.

Now into its fifth year, insurance firm, Ecclesiastical, is inviting residents to nominate a registered charity close to their hearts to benefit from a “festive financial boost”.

The Anchorage Association based in Brentwood, Strongbones Children’s Charitable Trust in Romford and Barnardo’s in Ilford were the local beneficiaries in 2020, following public support in the county.

Last year saw 285,000 people around the UK support the 12 Days of Giving Christmas campaign in total, with 17,800 charitable causes around the country receiving votes.

Mark Hews, Group CEO of Ecclesiastical, said: “Our annual 12 Days of Giving Christmas campaign has supported hundreds of charities over the past four years and I’m delighted that we will once again help charities change lives for the better.”

Nominations are open until December 20 and individuals can vote for their favourite charity at www.movementforgood.com/12days. Ten lucky winners will be announced each weekday from December 6 to 21.
