Roads in Stanford Rivers and Loughton are set to be temporarily closed for roadworks.

A notice from Essex County Council in this week’s edition of the Guardian details plans to close the roads to vehicles while the works are carried out.

All temporary closure orders are valid for up to 18 months and the dates when the works take place can vary.

A section of Toot Hill Road, Stanford Rivers, is due to be shut for three days from November 30 for new water connection works.

The road is set to be closed from a point approximately 455m south-east of its junction with School Road for a distance of approximately 55m in a south-easterly direction.

The diversion will be via Toot Hill Road, Mill Lane, Greenstead Road, Drapers Corner, Mutton Row and vice versa.

A planned five-day closure in Woodbury Hill, Loughton, is scheduled to start on December 13, again for new water connection works.

The road is set to be shut from its junction with Kings Hill for a distance of approximately 40m in a north-easterly direction.

The alternative route will be via Kings Hill, York Hill, Woodbury Hill and vice versa.
