A programme which helped people in Epping Forest to lose weight has restarted after it closed during the pandemic.

Voluntary Action Epping Forest (VAEF) has operated the My Weight Matters Programme since April 2018.

To date, more than 180 people have taken part in the 12-week programme.

The scheme had to close down during the Covid-19 crisis, but the scheme is now up and running again from 4pm to 5pm every Tuesday at Epping Forest District Museum, 39-41 Sun Street, Waltham Abbey EN9 1EL.

The programme is run in conjunction with the museum and PROVIDE and is free of charge.

All programmes follow NHS guidance and provide individuals with brief support where they can come along, get weighed and pick up their weekly pack at a Healthy Lifestyle drop-in session. There is no group support or requirement to take part in group activities – it’s as simple as popping in and your weight loss programme begins.

Drop in or for more information call 0300 303 9988.
