Students performing on stage for the first time showed their character at a summer solstice concert.

Marcella Lord, the head of music at the school, said it was the first time many of the singers and musicians had stepped on stage.

She added: "During the concert some students showed great resilience by having the strength after making a mistake to carry on and finish their performance.

"I am so proud of every person that performed or worked behind the scenes. It was a long hot day but all the students handled themselves brilliantly and put on a fantastic show."
