Two community organisations have chosen Epping Forest’s largest emergency food agency as the beneficiaries of their Christmas charity appeals.

Epping Youth FC and Epping Rock Choir are both supporting 3Food4U and have held collections for the 12 Days of Xmas Appeal.

Epping Youth organised two collections at their Academy sessions held at Epping St John’s School, where boys and girls from 15 of their teams plus Academy children gathered for expert coaching.

Club treasurer Chrissy Ellsom said: “We are a community-focused club and our players and their families responded to the Christmas Appeal by donating long life food items, toiletries and baby items along with Christmas treats for people in need. We would like to thank our players and their families for their generous contributions.

“We welcome children of all ages and abilities to play football along with parents who would like to take a team. Get in touch via email for more information at christine.ellsom.eyfc@gmail.com or check the website at eppingyouthfc.co.uk.”

Epping Rock Choir, who meet every Monday at 8pm at Epping Hall, St John's Road, and perform at local events throughout the year, combined their end of year celebration with a collection for us that will also help families over the festive period.

3Food4U continues to urgently need long-life food donations.
