Two people have been charged with theft following an incident at a popular shopping centre.
Police officers in the Epping Forest Town Centre team were called to the TK Maxx at the Epping Forest Shopping Park on February 18.
The officers had received reports about two people, who were believed to have been involved in a previous shoplifting incident on February 11.
Essex Police confirmed that during the incident on February 11, items worth around £1,000 were reportedly stolen.
A man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop.
Andrea Bujnakova, 44, of Queens Terrace, East Ham and John Marks, 54, of Orford Road, Walthamstow have since been charged with one count of theft.
Following further enquiries, John Marks has been charged with two counts of possession of an offensive weapon within a private place.
