ACL Essex has launched a free 'Skills Bootcamps', designed to provide individuals with career-specific skills.

The 12-week courses aim to enhance employability, facilitate career changes, and support progression within current roles.

Offerings from ACL Essex focus on three employment sectors: digital marketing, project management for construction, and early years.

The digital marketing course equips participants with the know-how to devise and implement campaigns across various online platforms, including social media.

The construction project management course covers all aspects of project actioning, from initiation and planning to delivery.

The course on early years provides a comprehensive understanding of subjects like safeguarding, supporting special-needs children, and theoretical and practical aspects of child development.

Councillor Tony Ball, Essex County Council's cabinet member for Education Excellence, Lifelong Learning and Employability, said: "ACL Essex’s new Skills Bootcamps are the perfect opportunity to develop sector-specific skills.

"In just 12 weeks you can gain a qualification and learn from experienced tutors. Learners can then use these skills to develop their business, progress in their current job or enter a new career!

"This is a great chance to enhance your career prospects. I’d advise anyone looking to move up the career ladder to contact their local ACL Essex centre to see what they can do for you."

Learners, whether employed, unemployed or self-employed, must be able to study at Level 3 and above.

Upon completion, course graduates are assured an interview for a job or apprenticeship and will be provided support to secure a new job or progress further in their career.

Skills Bootcamps are currently open for enrolment for individuals aged 19 or above.

Eligibility requires potential learners to possess the right to work in the UK, be an Essex resident, and meet certain residency stipulations.

Course participation is free and additional support, like laptop loan, may be offered to learners to assist in the completion of their courses.

ACL Essex, part of Essex County Council, is the largest provider of adult education in the county.
