At Woodbridge High School in Woodford, kindness is a core value that we encourage students to put into practice every day.

One inspiring way this happens is through our House system, where each House is responsible for raising money for a local charity.

Our House Charity programme supports Clowns In The Sky, Haven House, ELHAP, Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund, and Honeypot Children’s Charity.
Through a variety of creative events, students have shown the power of teamwork, generosity, and community spirit.

This year’s fundraising activities have included Pancake Day celebrations, Bake Sales, non-uniform days, and a lively carnival fair.

Students also wore hats for Brain Tumour Awareness Month (BRAM), raising both awareness and funds for Clowns In The Sky.
Each event has raised over £100, making a meaningful impact for these charities.

Inspired by House activities, fundraising continues with students supporting other charities such as Mind, Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), Redbridge Food Bank War Child, Care4Calais and more!

Clowns In The Sky commented on our fundraising: “A lovely school who support us year on year. Huge thanks to all at the school, and parents/families of the students. So much thought and effort.”

These events highlight the compassion that makes Woodbridge High School so special, and we look forward to our upcoming Diversity Event in support of Haven House.
