Students are celebrating success after receiving a strong set of GCSE results.

Year 11 pupils at Roding Valley High School in Loughton, a co-educational secondary school and sixth form, have been recognised for their hard work and achievement.

Headteacher Dan Charlton said: "Our GCSE results at Roding Valley High School are a wonderful celebration of what can be achieved when aspiration, respect and endeavour are at the heart of everything we do.

"Today, we recognise not only the academic success of our students, but also the determination they have demonstrated throughout their journey. I am incredibly proud of every student, and I thank our dedicated staff, supportive families and wider school community for the part they have played in helping our young people reach this important milestone.

"Congratulations to our Year 11s, we look forward to seeing the many successes that lie ahead for them."

Among the standout performers was Zach, who achieved grade 9s in all nine of his subjects. He plans to take A-levels in economics, maths, further maths, and government and politics at Roding Valley Sixth Form.

Francesca earned six grade 9s in combined science, Italian, maths, music, and Spanish, and will go on to study economics, maths, and Spanish at A-level.

Isabella also achieved six grade 9s, in biology, chemistry, English language, English literature, maths, and Spanish.  She will continue with A-levels in biology, chemistry, maths, and physics.

Another student, Andreea, said: "I was so surprised to do so well and am really delighted with my results." She has enrolled into Roding Valley Sixth Form to study A Levels in Biology, Geography and Art.

Roding Valley High School supports its students through four personalised academic pathways, with nearly all GCSE pupils meeting the English Baccalaureate (EBacc) criteria. The school also offers a broad extracurricular programme, with particular strengths in drama and sport.
