Leyton Orient have, as expected, completed the signing of Wingate and Finchley left-back Nathan Mavila.

The 22-year-old has signed a deal till the end of the season at Brisbane Road and his form for the Bostik Premier League side had seen him attract interest from ‘other professional outfits’, according to the O’s. Mavila’s move to the National League side had been expected, after Wingate and Finchley confirmed the switch on their website on Friday.

The left-back joined the Bostik Premier League side last summer and has made 43 appearances in all competitions since then, scoring twice. He leaves Wingate and Finchley with the club in sixth position in the Bostik Premier League.

He started his career at Wycombe Wanderers before moving to West Ham United in 2014 and he was named in the Hammers’ match-day 18 for their Europa League tie against Astra Giurgiu in August 2015.

However, he left the Premier League side a year later, having failed to make an appearance for the club, and has enjoyed brief spells with Maidstone United, Cambridge City and Wealdstone, prior to moving to Wingate and Finchley last summer.
