Gator ABC were well represented at the National Junior ABA semi-finals over the weekend, while three boxers also took part in Finchley ABC’s boxing show last Thursday.

First up at the junior semi-finals was Gerald McDonough, who put in a superb performance that utilised all his defensive skills as well as showcased a flurry of well-timed punches to beat Jack Burke of Two Kings by unanimous decision.

Jamal Berleen also booked his place in the semi-finals as he proved to be way superior to Zachary Solomon of Croydon.

Donte Decosta completed the hat-trick of Gator wins as he edged all three rounds of a pulsating contest against Jed Kimyamba of Sam Montague.

Carlton Forschin received a bye to the finals, and he will be joined by Javir Sanger, who was drawn straight into the finals.

The club will now have a record-breaking five boxers in the national finals in two weeks’ time.

Meanwhile, Taran Ria Singh, Aman Mohammed and George Francis made the trip to the Haringey Irish Centre for Finchley ABC’s boxing show on last Thursday.

Singh beat J. O’Connor of Finchley while Aman got the better of K. Moldovan, also of Finchley.

Francis then faced M. More in a non-scoring skills bout to cap off another excellent week for the club.
