Craig Clay has signed a new two-year deal at Leyton Orient, the club have confirmed.
The midfielder joined the O’s from Scottish side Motherwell in 2017 for the start of Orient’s stint in non-league and has been almost ever-present in the side’s return to the Football League, making 97 appearances and scoring five times across the two seasons.
His performances in 2018/19 also earned him the club’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season awards.
Head coach Justin Edinburgh said: "Obviously we’re delighted Craig has committed his future for the next two years. He's been a driving force in the midfield since I've been here and was a pivotal part of the season we've just had. There is still lots to come from Craig so I’m delighted he's on board."
Clay has experience of League Two with Chesterfield, making three appearances in their 2010/11 title-winning season, and later on with York City in the first half of the 2013/14 campaign.
