Watford are one of several clubs interested in a move for veteran striker Emmanuel Adebayor, according to reports in the Mail Online, the Sun and TalkSport.

The former Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City man was released by Crystal Palace back in 2016, before joining Istanbul Basaksehir.

The 35-year-old left the Turkish club on Thursday by mutual consent and now the Hornets are reportedly interested in snapping him up alongside the likes of Sheffield United and West Ham.

The Togolese striker has not completed 90 minutes of football since January, but still managed to score 27 goals from 71 games during his time in Turkey.
