Philip Bowes’ upcoming bout against Iddi Mkwera has been cancelled due to his opponent falling ill.
The Leytonstone super lightweight Commonwealth title holder was due to be facing the Tanzanian at York Hall in Bethnal Green this Saturday (July 13).
However, Mkwera’s illness has prevented the fight from taking place and, with no new date currently set, it’s expected that Bowes will not fight again until October.
