Leyton Orient defender Sam Ling has signed a one-year contract extension with the club, keeping him in E10 until 2021.

The 22-year-old has started every league match so far this season upon the club’s return to League Two having come through the O’s academy.

Although he briefly left for Dagenham & Redbridge, where he scored three times in 40 games, Ling was brought back to the Breyer Group Stadium for an undisclosed fee in February 2018.

Ling’s Football League debut came in the season opener against Cheltenham Town and his performances so far earned him a nomination for the August Player of the Month.
