Epping Town recorded an astonishing 19-0 win over Westhamians in Division Two of the Essex Olympian League at the weekend.

Four hat-tricks were scored in the game as Taner Dagyaran, Connor Hammond, Alex paraskeva and Tommie Turner scored 12 of the 19 between them, and single goals were added by Joey May, Lindisipho Mtyanda, Brad Gayer, Ryan Folan, Eben Rowledge, Joe Thomas and Joe Killingback.

Epping were six goals to the good at the break against a Westhamians side that were only able to field 10 players from the off, but still, nobody could have expected the second-half onslaught that ensued.

Town manager Billy Cove said: “This is a game where we all had to stay disciplined and get the job done.

“Westhamians were unfortunately only able to field ten players but we still ad a job to do as they had some very good players, including Epping Town old boy Bill Bradley.

“The game did have the feel of a pre-season friendly but you can only beats what’s in front of you and we did that comfortably in the end which I was very happy about.”

Cove’s side move up to second in the division with a far healthier goal difference ahead of this weekend’s game against Harold Wood Athletic Reserves, kicking off at 2.30pm.
