Ross Embleton expects Joe Widdowson to return to training this week after missing today's draw with Bradford City, but Sam Ling could take longer to make a comeback.
The boss was forced into a reshuffle in defence as Dan Happe moved over to left-back, Myles Judd came in at right-back and there was a central pairing of Jamie Turley and Marvin Ekpiteta.
After the game, Embleton said: "Sam Ling's one is worse than Joe's. We could see Sam out for a few games. I hope not, but it was a bit innocuous.
"He trained yesterday and it wasn't until the latter end of the session that we really tried to stretch him physically to see if he was capable to go out today. What we didn't want to do was go through a Northampton again where the first sprint Sam tries to do he pulls up. It's sensible for the medical department to rein him in.
"I think Joe's is just a bit of a niggle. I think maybe the two close games at the back end of last week caught up with him this week. I'm hoping that a weekend of rest might see Joe back in the group early next week."
