Leyton Orient have made their first dip into the transfer market in this window by signing goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux on a free transfer, pending international clearance.

The 26-year-old was most recently with Everton de Viña del Mar in Chile, the country he represents internationally, despite being born in England, and has signed an 18-month deal with the O's.

Prior to that, Vigouroux had a successful loan spell at Swindon Town from Premier League side Liverpool, and he was then snapped up by the Robins after the Merseyside club released him at the end of the 2015/16 season.

After coming through the youth academy at Tottenham Hotspur, he had a loan spell with Hyde United and also represented Irish club Waterford in 2018, on loan from Swindon.

Vigouroux becomes Orient's first signing of the window and will provide competition for both Sam Sargeant and Arthur Janata after the injury to Dean Brill, which looks set to keep him sidelined for the rest of the season.
