Ross Embleton is hopeful of adding more players to his squad before Leyton Orient visit Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday.
The boss revealed after yesterday's win over Newport County that the O's were close to landing two signings late last week, but he now hopes that the deals can be completed in time for Tuesday's game in Cheshire.
He said: “We were very close yesterday. The two players we were looking at looked like they were getting close then all of a sudden the brakes came on from their parent clubs.
"I know that Martin [Ling] has got some phone calls to make over the next couple of days and I’m really hoping that we can get them signed and in the building, whether or not it’s in time to play for Tuesday, but I’d like to think there will be an announcement Monday or Tuesday in terms of players coming in.”
