With most races and events succumbing to the weather over the weekend, only seven athletes from East London Runners were able to get out and compete.

Where the weather likely was not so much of an issue was at the Run The Vines 10km in Ayama, South Africa, where Paul Quinton finished the race in first place overall, securing a time of 42.55.

Also securing top spot was Thomas Grimes at the Harrow on the Hill 10km on Sunday. He finished in 37.24.

At the recent Chase The Moon 10km, Maran Raju was the first of the ELR participants to finish, coming 162nd overall in a time of 46.57.

Following soon after was Grace Turner with a time of 57.59 which earned 397th place, and Sallyann Eyles recorded a personal best time of 59.49, coming 452nd overall.

Finally, in the 5km race of the same event, Ross Lucas finished 28th in a time of 22.25 and Samir Yousni was 40th, recording a time of 23.47.
