Sports clubs provide an opportunity for children and young people too learn skills that will help them in school, as well as in their future careers and personal lives.
Through engagement in sport, they learn leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, responsibility, self-discipline, and a sense of initiative.
As more local sports clubs return to action following lockdown, we want to show our support for all their good work by shining a spotlight on their teams.
The Guardian is planning to publish a special keepsake supplement featuring as many local children’s sports teams as possible.
To be included, all you need to do is snap a team picture and send it to us by Monday via the link at the bottom of this page.
