A young boxer from Loughton fought his way to a national championship victory.
George Francis won the 40kg weight class in his age group at the England Boxing Schools National Championships on May 15.
George, 13, trains at Repton Boxing Club, his victory earns him the right to represent England at the upcoming GB Schools Three Nations 2022.
Victory last week has set George on the England Boxing talent pathway, which could bring further accolades for the young prospect in the future.
George, who goes to Roding Valley High School, first laced up his gloves aged 6 and has trained hard ever since.
Despite COVID putting competitions on hold for a few years, George has already made significant strides in his career and bouts along the road to victory take young boxers across the country.
